The ATTN Economy is an independent media company on a mission to make the dynamics shaping public attention visible, understandable and actionable for every person and every organization.

Our Team

We're three practitioners with more than three decades of combined experience across PR, marketing, data analysis, research, brand strategy and design. We've worked across different sides of the same problem—understanding what earns attention and why—and we built The ATTN Economy to bring those perspectives together.

All content published by The ATTN Economy is produced, analyzed and written by humans.

We may occasionally use AI tools in our workflow, to process data or accelerate research, however all outputs are reviewed, verified and edited by our team before drafting, analysis and publication. The analysis, writing and design is ours. The perspective is ours. The errors, if any, are ours too.

Why we're transparent about this.

AI is reshaping how content gets made, and we think the industry deserves clarity about what's human-driven and what isn't.

We've seen AI tools misrepresent data, cite outdated statistics as current and occasionally fabricate figures entirely. They're useful for speed, less so for judgment. They can summarize; they can't discern what actually matters or whether a source is trustworthy.

Our value isn't in aggregating information faster than a machine can. It's in knowing which questions to ask, which patterns are meaningful, and what the data actually signals about where attention is moving. That requires experience, editorial judgment, and accountability, things we're not willing to outsource.

So when you read our work, you're getting analysis shaped by practitioners who've spent decades in the industries we cover. AI might help us work efficiently on the administrative front; it doesn't do the work for us.
